Some very ambient listening today. Felt like that kind of day.
- Sleep Deprivation - The Black Dog https://theblackdog.bandcamp.com/album/sleep-deprivation New from Sheffield's most prolific techno outfit, a double LP of detached, drifting drones, relaxing and uplifting at once, and immersive, like the best 'Dog is.
- Neuromancer - Black Rain https://room40.bandcamp.com/album/neuromancer The soundtrack to the 1994 audiobook of William Gibson's classic novel, released separately for the first time. Monumental drones and clicks like systems decaying under the weight of the world. You'd call it vaporwave if it didn't still sound like the future.
- A Distant Blur - Broken Chip https://homenormal.bandcamp.com/album/a-distant-blur Scenic landscapes through mist and rain, with long loops crossing and fading.
